Greenpower Mobility - All-Energy Medium and Heavy-Duty Vehicles

Greenpower designs and manufactures, as well as distributes a variety of medium- and heavy-duty electric vehicles. This includes transit buses and school buses, as cargo buses and shuttles.

EV Star

GreenPower Motor Company produces a complete line of high-floor and low-floor all-electric medium and Power mobility heavy-duty vehicles. Their flagship vehicle is the EV Star Cab & Chassis platform, which can be used to accommodate various bodies and upfits for a variety of applications. The platform's design is based on a clean sheet of paper, which allows for optimum positioning of the battery pack and a lower center of gravity. This results in higher payload/range ratios.

The EV Star REEFERX is designed to meet the needs of mid-to-last mile refrigerated delivery as well as catering applications. GreenPower has partnered with Perrone Robotics to up-fit the EV Star with their TONY (To Navigate You) autonomous vehicle system. This will allow fleets to seamlessly move to autonomous vehicles. The AV Star can also be wirelessly charging up to 75 kW.

We had the opportunity to test drive the EV9 for several hours on a local freeway and found it to be a breeze to drive and comfortable for long distances. The ride is smooth over ruts and bumps, while the EV9 does an excellent job of reducing wind and road noise on the highway. The acceleration is surprisingly quick, and the car comes with adjustable regenerative braking to enable "one pedal driving" by simply lifting the accelerator.

The EV9 has excellent range and can be fully recharged in just three hours at home or using any commercial charger. The driver can choose from two operating modes: eco mode and sport mode. Eco mode focuses on the cruise control and torque and the sport mode is designed to maximize speed and handling. Both are a lot of fun to drive and offer an unique experience for anyone that has not driven an electric vehicle before.

In addition to the EV9, greenpower electric scooters has several other e-vehicles available, including a multi-purpose electric mini bus, called the EV Star. The EV Star is ADA-compliant and can be used for executive shuttles, transit or microtransit buses, vanpools, green energy mobility scooters mobility scooters - Ucgp.jujuy.edu.ar, or paratransit vehicles.

GreenPower produces around 10 EV Star busses a month for the Jacksonville Transit Authority. The Jacksonville Transit Authority is replacing their fleet of diesel vehicles with 100 electric cars. With the Biden Administration looking to electrify school buses nationwide, GreenPower plans on ramping production to meet demand. Their EV Star buses are the first of their kind to be Altoona tested and FMVSS certified, Buy America compliant, and ADA conforming. This makes them eligible for federal transit grants.
