Path of Exile item upgrader kit Upgrades

The performance of a variety of Path of Exile items can be improved by upgrading the performance of them. They can provide extra damage, AD or even affixes.

Rare-grade equipment is usually superior to the more modernized Common or Magic equipment because of their high requirements.

Armor

Armor upgrades can be applied to both armor and weapon items. They boost the performance of the item upgrade they're connected to. Upgrades to armor can be found in the world of the game and are available from Blacksmiths on bonfires. They can also be salvaged using a professional or higher salvage kit to salvage upgrades from the items.

The level of an armor's or weapon's upgrade determines the amount of damage it will absorb. The upgrade of an armor piece to the highest upgrade level will boost the damage it absorbs. It is important to note that this will increase the weight of the armor, which means it must be more heavy.

There are several different types of armor upgrades available in the game. Each has a different impact. For instance, some upgrades will give the armor a certain number of health points while others make it lighter and stronger. The kind of armor upgrade an Item Upgrader Kit can get will be identified by the name of the upgrade as indicated in the table below.

Some of the upgrades are also magic or a hybrid of technology and magic which is identified by a "Magic" or "Hybrid" entry in the table below. Some upgrades also require a charge to use, which is shown by an "Charges" entry in the table below. The charges associated with these upgrades change daily or never expire, dependent on the upgrade.

Iron Ore is the cheapest way to upgrade your armor. You can find it by exploring and looting small loot chests. Titanium is more expensive, but is readily available at the smelters in Orgrimmar and Stormwind City. Certain upgrades, like the Reforge or the Hot Potato Books can only be applied on armor pieces of the highest level. These upgrades can provide a significant boost to stats and are a worthwhile investment, particularly for one-handed weapons.

The player should be aware that upgrading a piece to its maximum upgrade level can increase its defense values. However, it will also decrease its agility and its speed. It is not recommended to upgrade armor beyond +9. The boost in defense typically isn't worth the weight and power expenses of the upgrades.

Weapons

Weapon upgrades let players increase the effectiveness of certain aspects of an weapon. For instance an upgrade can improve the damage that is caused by shotgun shells or the accuracy of a rifle sniper. Certain weapons come with special upgrades that enhance their inherent capabilities. They will also have a better chance of bringing you the best tier of bonuses and blessings.

To increase their level faster, many players prioritize upgrading their weapons. Additionally players, they should think about upgrading the weapons that are most popular with their squadmates to make them more powerful and effective. For instance, Shepard should consider upgrading the M92F to unlock the Beretta M93R, which will increase its utility when paired with experts in biotics like Grunt and Tali.

Jewels

Jewels are utilized in the armor's sockets and weapons, enhancing the stats of a weapon and providing additional effects. They can be made through the process of jewelry crafting, which is where you combine a gem with several ingredients at a table for jewelry. The higher the level of the gem is, the greater its secondary effect. These reagents are obtained in the world from Treasure Goblins, World Bosses and occasionally by salvaging Legendary equipment. You can also purchase them from The Jeweler for gold and a Scattered Prism.

The quality of a gem can be improved upon by the Jeweler, in stages that range from Crude to Royal. The stat boosts will vary depending on the level the jewel is at when it's slotted into jewelry, weapons, or other gear.

All kinds of jewels are crafted at the Jeweler, with the exception of the rare and legendary jewels that require you to be at a sufficient level to qualify for these. Jewels can be substituted with another jewel without damaging the original. You can only replace the gem once in an item level upgrade of equipment.

Using more jewels in a move will make it more smooth, and is often performed for aesthetic reasons. The jewels can also enhance performance and create a harder surface than steel, so that the repeated friction from pivots do not cause damage to them.

A Glyphmaster can provide glyphs to enhance the appearance of your weapons and shields. These are a small perk and can be swapped freely however they aren't guaranteed to drop as loot. Glyphs are like jewelry and can be upgraded by the Jeweler in exchange for Scattered Crystals and gold. Glyphs can also be removed and returned to the inventory. Other upgrade components like traits or aegis can't be swapped, and can only be retrieved through an upgrade extractor or salvaging using the Black Lion Salvage Kit or Ascended Salvage.

Trinkets

Trinkets are pieces of equipment that provide an array of tiny but valuable benefits to your hero. They can be acquired starting in the beginning areas as loot or personal story rewards from vendors, and through doing road interactions. They may also be crafted by jewelers, and then found or purchased at the Trading Post.

The first trinket that a player will unlock is the cloak. It grants a small, but useful bonus in movement speed and evasion. After that, they'll be able to purchase amulets, rings and necklaces in a similar manner to the way a player can acquire armor and weapons. Each piece of equipment comes with a slot for an upgrade that is either universal or jewel. Universal upgrades are smaller and are able to be used on any piece of equipment. Jewels cannot be upgraded or replaced, and can only be used with certain trinkets.

These trinkets provide additional buffs and abilities that are active when the hero isn't fighting. This allows the hero to be more efficient while inactive. It can also make up for the lack of a good team or talent tree slots which would normally be filled by the hero's optimal stats.

A good rule of thumb for trinket upgrades is to prioritize BiS (Best-in-Slot) items that you will not replace soon, followed by items with desirable stats but less important than the iLevel of the item being upgraded. This is especially true when an item has multiple stats you'd like to upgrade, as it's usually better to upgrade just one important stat rather than two sub-optimal ones.

Jungle players often upgrade their yellow trinkets to a red one prior to the start of the game. Top and mid players however will pick either a pink or green ward, depending on the game's matchup. These choices will have a significant impact on the hero's abilities to control maps.

Aside from the items mentioned above, players can find a number of other trinkets in the game in the form of awards and trophies. These can be obtained by completing certain milestones within the story, like finishing a chapter's main quest or killing a certain boss.
