Robots That Vacuum and Mop

Robots that clean and vacuum offer the convenience of cleaning dry and wet messes in one go and without the need to switch between devices. They can also reduce space in comparison to two separate units, especially in smaller living spaces.

A good combination bot will be able to navigate well and have excellent obstacles avoidance. Look for models that can automatically empty their bin and refill their water tank, and wash their mopping pads with an appropriate dock.

The S1 Pro has excellent front collision sensors and smart navigation technology. It can detect small obstacles that other models are unable to. Its only issue is that the robot tends to hit walls and objects at a high speed. The S8 Pro Ultra has an improved suction capacity that allows it to pull up finer hairs and other debris other best robotic mop and vacuum cleaners may miss.

This Roborock model, just like the other two models I tested it has infrared and a reactive 3D obstacle avoidance technology that helps it avoid obstacles such as walls, furniture, and other obstacles. The S8 Pro Ultra goes one step further by incorporating a dual-camera that can identify objects, and determine if they're walls or other surfaces. It then can alter its direction automatically and clean them without missing a step.

It's the most expensive model I've tried and it comes with the most features. Its sleek, angular style is attractive and it has just three physical buttons: the power button, which also resumes cleaning robot mop and vacuum; a mop button that doubles as a child lock and a home button to send the robot vacuums uk back to its dock. The only downside I've discovered with this model was that its VibraRise mop pad mount isn't removable. You can replace the mopping cloth if needed, but it's difficult to take the mount off for manual washing. I've observed that any soft carpet that the robot touches will come into contact with the Velcro-like fastener system on the mount, and that can cause abrasions.

The S8 Pro Ultra has a variety of smart features, including support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. You can set up and manage these through the Roborock app, which is also home to its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app allows you to schedule cleanings, track the life of batteries and maintenance on components. You'll need to jump through a series of steps to activate voice control on this model. It's a shame, considering how well-performing it is otherwise.

3. Dreame X40

The Dreame X40 is an industry-leading robot vacuum and mop equipped with incredible suction power, sophisticated mowing capabilities, and a variety of innovative features. Its innovative design allows for personalized and efficient cleaning, while also saving time.

The X40 is the first robot vacuum cleaner to provide 12,000 Pascals of cleaning power, which makes it one of the top alternatives available.
